Setting up and checking ARES at Likii Mixed Day Secondary School in Laikipia East.
On 11 January 2023 the team spent the day at Likii Mixed Day Secondary School in Laikipia East. The school motto sums it up: "An oasis of hope, peace and love."
The work was practical: connecting notebooks to the ARES server, checking the mesh network, and making sure teachers could reach content from every classroom.
Starting January 2027, five pilot schools will use ARES in every classroom, every day, with lesson plans, live quizzes and progress tracking built with SeaVuria.
Hardware is the easy part. Training, maintenance and follow-up are what make ARES succeed.
SeaVuria's STEM lesson plans and teacher programs are joining ARES, starting with the Model Schools pilot.
Internet access is expensive, unreliable and unsafe for most rural schools, so ARES was designed to run without it.
