Partnering with SeaVuria
SeaVuria's STEM lesson plans and teacher programs are joining ARES, starting with the Model Schools pilot.
We're delighted to be working with SeaVuria, a nonprofit that bridges the educational divide in Taita-Taveta County, Kenya. SeaVuria helps underrepresented students, especially young women, get high-quality STEM education through teacher development, technology and hands-on learning. In 2026 alone it supported 156 scholars.
Why it fits
ARES brings the infrastructure: an offline server, devices, networking and local support. SeaVuria brings deep experience in STEM teaching and teacher development. Together that means content teachers can use the next morning, not just content that exists on a server.
- Lesson plans on ARES. SeaVuria's STEM lesson plans, reformatted for Kenya's Competency-Based Education, are being added to ARES servers.
- Model Schools. SeaVuria is our partner in the Model Schools pilot, which begins in January 2027 and moves digital learning into every classroom.
- Teacher support. Shared training and a professional community for the teachers who lead these lessons.
Teachers have long used SeaVuria content on ARES. In our 2021 assessment it was already among the most-used modules. Now we're building on that together.
