A stop at Loise Secondary School's computer lab during the January 2023 school visits.
On 14 January 2023 the team visited Loise Secondary School near Nanyuki to see its computer lab and talk with staff about how they use ARES.
Visits like this are a core part of the ARES model. Local staff and volunteers keep returning to installed schools to train teachers, maintain equipment and hear what each school needs next.
Starting January 2027, five pilot schools will use ARES in every classroom, every day, with lesson plans, live quizzes and progress tracking built with SeaVuria.
Hardware is the easy part. Training, maintenance and follow-up are what make ARES succeed.
SeaVuria's STEM lesson plans and teacher programs are joining ARES, starting with the Model Schools pilot.
Internet access is expensive, unreliable and unsafe for most rural schools, so ARES was designed to run without it.
